DMX began rapping from the mid 1990s. In May 1998 the rapper released his debut album, It's Dark and HOT. He released several albums, including... and There Was X as well as the Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album was nominated for an Grammy Award for the Best Rap Album Category. The album titled...And then there was X. His musical career was complemented with appearances in films as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded, Never Die Alone - The Bleeding Romeo MUST Die Backstage - Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
